Meet the Freak

Meet the freak! means two weeks of unbound fun in Beroun and its surroundings.As was the case last year the international art project will take place between 19 August - 3 September 2006 and there will be about 60 young people from 9 European countries.

Meet the Freak! creates space not only to try out new ideas. Its main aim is to realise several art workshops open for public in  the streets of Beroun. Join in! All the joint effort will culminate by a unique final performance that we would like to invite you to and which will take place on Friday 1st September 2006 in the camp Plesivec!

What brings Belgian, Hungarian, Portuguese or Romanian volunteers for two weeks in August to camp Plesivec near Beroun? An opportunity to confront their views of the world through dance, theatre, painting, music or projection/screening. A possibility to meet their peers from other countries, learn new skills and abilities from each other. But mostly to live through a strong moment and accept each other's differences. We will create a space for all of that as much as for discovering oneself and others. All of it through five different art fields - music, theatre, dance, fine art and media.
